I think the big thing that makes it so great are that you could pick it up and play for 2 minutes or 2 hours, there are a seemingly endless number of achievements that you actually feel like you've accomplished something when you make progress on them, and the mechanics of the game are so tight that, when you lose you know it's because *you* were too fast or too slow, not because the game glitched or some unexplainable thing happened. There's 1-2 minute trailer right on the link that I posted above that pretty much shows you all you need to see. In it's essence it's a snowboarding/runner game but that doesn't do it justice nor does any description I could give. That game is just so well made and clean that it's actually relaxing despite what seems like a lot of action. But out of all of those the best game for the phone for me that I played the most and enjoyed the most is Alto's Adventure. Hitting up subs like /r/IosGaming, /r/AppHookup etc. Man, I've been playing games on both my phone, iPad, Xbox forever.
